So, what is crystal fabric? It is a material covered in tiny cut and uncut crystals partly refined using a vacuum coating. Crystocraft places each individual crystal onto the material in whichever shape, logo or image you want added and then heats it at 150 Cº for 45 seconds in order to stick the crystal onto the fabric without worrying about the gems falling off.

Materials such as wool, cotton, lycra, stretch velour, polyesters, nylon, linen, denim or silk are perfect to withstand such high levels of heat. Using a heat press, we can warm up the crystals onto the material for about 45 seconds so they are sure to stay attached.

Crystal Fabric / Crystal Fine Rock / Crystal Rock

There are different crystal sizes to best suit your crystal fabric application needs:

Crystal Fabric

Crystal fabric uses 1 mm diameter cut and uncut crystal sand. It is suitable for smaller logos with fine lines and details.

Crystal Fine Rock

Crystal fine rock uses 1.5 mm diameter PP9 crystals. It has more 3-dimensional effect and better sparkles than crystal fabric.

Crystal Rock

Crystal rock uses 2 mm diameter PP14 crystals. Since the crystals are larger than crystal fine rock, it will have even more sparkle effect. However crystal rock will be suitable for large logos.

Crystal Fabric Applications on Different Materials

There are 2 types of adhesive which crystal fabric can be applied on different materials:

Hotfix Film (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)

For cotton / polyester blend / denim, crystal fabric can be applied with hotfix film.

IT Film

For solid material such as glass / metal / paper, crystal fabric can be applied with IT film.

We are proud to be a sponsor for BNI International Conference 2023 which was held on July 13 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. We applied crystal rock fabric for the BNI red logo on the front side of the t-shirt made exclusively for the dragon dance performers. On the backside of the t-shirt, we used crystal fine rock for the “Referrals for Life” infinity logo.
